ABOUT US

 

Dalbin is an independent contemporary creation label founded in 2003 in Paris. We produce and publish works of art, events and audiovisual content. The aim is to unite artistic energies, organize pluridisciplinary meetings of motion art and explore innovative process of creation and diffusion.

 

The label develops co-creation projects of visual artists and musicians. “Labland” by Pfadfinderei & Modselektor (2004), “The Five Elements” (2005) part of the Centre Pompidou collection, "Kill The Ego" from Soundwalk to Rostarr, "The Monster" by François Chalet & Mathias Vetter. The launch of the iPhone application "Collector Serie" inaugure une nouvelle étape d'innovation pour le label, avec l'édition dématérialisée d'une collection de vidéo d'artistes auprès des collectionneurs. les premières oeuvres à être distribuées par "Collector Serie" sont le film "Kill The Ego" (mars 2010), suivi de "Furtivo" Xavier Veilhan avec Sébastien Tellier (juin 2010).

 

Le label conçoit, scénographie et produit des événements uniques pour des institutions culturelles et des maisons de luxe dans lesquels la création artistique tient toujours un rôle central. Le label Dalbin ne propose pas de simples festivités, mais de véritables créations d'émotions et de contenus au service du public ou de l'image de la marque. Lille 2004, capitale européenne de la culture, Nuit Blanche (2004 et 2007), Festival international Exit à la MAC Créteil (2004 à 2010), Louis Vuitton (2005), Jean-Paul Gaultier (2006), Christian Dior (2007), Cartier (2008-2011), Vacheron Constantin (2009), Peugeot (2009). Dans la lignée des soirées Super (2006-2008) avec Xavier Veilhan & Sébasiten Tellier, Cyprien Gaillard & Koudlam, Turzi, Camille Henrot, Assume Vivid Astro Focus, le label présentera le spectacle "Le Son du Nous" de Philippe Starck & Soundwalk le 19 et le 20 mars 2010 lors du festival international Exit à la MAC Créteil.

 

Le label produit également des contenus audiovisuels artistiques et documentaires. "Black & Light" de Kinga Kielczynska et Sylvain Chauveau (2009) est une création présentée dans le premier hors-série digital "More Madame" du Groupe Figaro en partenariat avec Chanel Joaillerie.

 


Eric Dalbin

Eric Dalbin is co-founder of the music labels Logistic in 1996 et Telegraph in 2000. From 2001, he turns to visual art and collaborates with the Berlin based book publishing company Gestalten. Based on these complementary experiences, he founds the label Dalbin in 2003 aiming to produce and publish innovative pluridisciplinary creations.

 

Laurent Baylet

Following a variety of professional experiences with the luxury brands Hermès, ST Dupont and Cartier from 1988 to 1992, Laurent Baylet immerses himself in the world of the theater. He works  first as an actor and later also as a writer and director. His taste for contemporary art leads him to organise and design exhibitions of current painting and sculpture. In 2001, he actively participates in the implantation of Stylelab, the Diesel brand's laboratory of creation, with its innovative communication methods, in France. In 2004 he co-founds the project  Dimuschi, a series of night-time events aiming to combine the visual arts with the power of amplified music in unusual venues.

 

Patrick Bamberger

Patrick Bamberger, allemand d'origine, s'installe en France en 1989. Il poursuit sa formation dans le domaine du cinéma et confirme sa passion pour la mise en scène. Après un passage au Théâtre du Châtelet, il intègre la maison Belloir & Jallot et se spécialise dans les décors éphémères. A partir de 1999, il scénographie des défilés de mode à Paris et produit des spectacles au Moyen-Orient et en Amérique Centrale. En 2004, il co-crée le projet festif Dimuschi dont l'objectif est le rapprochement de l'art visuel et de la musique amplifiée dans des lieux insolites.

 

Audrey Bartis

As a body and image semiotician, Audrey applies semiotic analysis tools in various activities such as branding, creative direction and strategic planning for brands (luxury, fashion, design, food, banking, web) or agencies (advertising, design, web).
She taught for seven years at master and post-graduate levels, in prestigious schools of marketing and creation, in France and abroad (French Institute of Fashion in Paris, Istituto Marangoni in Paris, Museo Textil in Barcelona ...).
Passionate about art, Audrey specializes in theory of contemporary art, especially in the editing of art categories and in the artist's body. She organizes art events and lectures on these topics and writes articles in magazines of contemporary art in France and abroad.
For Dalbin, Audrey develops strategic and creative bridges between brands and artistic production.

 

Sophie Boudet-Dalbin

Specialized in digital contents' distribution. During a master's degree of Negotiation and Management of International Projects, Sophie specialized in european audiovisual politics and also did internships in the film production and video edition field. She decided to deepen her approach with an other master's in european politics and specialized in film distribution through the Internet. Now she is working on a doctoral degree in Information and Communication Sciences at the University Paris 2 Assas and in 2007, was a visiting scholar at the New York University (NYU) in the Culture and Communication department. For Dalbin, she brings her expertise of public funds rising from national and european institutions, of events organization (conferences, parties), of the new social media use in communication, of research and development of new ways to distribute digital content.
