For a couple of decades, test screens had a fixed place within TV broadcasting- shown mostly at night after the official end of a program. As of today, testcards are still widely common for calibration, alignment, and matching of camera and recording equipment in the motion image industry.
With this piece of work, PFA Studios pays tribute to the era of the TV test screen and translates it with contemporary CGI based aesthetics. Subtle high end textures mark the surfaces of the individual graphic patterns providing floating and decelerated movements. The soundtrack was composed by TimTim based on the sine wave tone that used to accompany the broadcasted test screen at night.

But behind all these alter-egos is Andreas Ross, born in 1979 and raised in East-Berlin. 24 years of experience in music business as instrumentalist, songwriter, producer remixer and live musician do not lie!
